Let’s face it, fashion is not only about the clothes. There’s the bags, the shoes, the hats, the jewellery and of course, the nails! I constantly find myself in the struggle of seeing nail looks on Pinterest that I adore and the high prices that some nail beauticians charge. When I find a fairly affordable nail beautician, the end results look nothing like the picture I presented upon arrival. With all of this in mind I decided to take matters in my own hands and do my own nails for half, no, even a quarter of the price.
Here is how I created my own “Pinterest Nail Style” and what my experience was using the products.
What you need:
- Just be Gorgeous (Shade: moreish metalic)
- Essence the gel nail polish (Shade: 69)
To get my look, I painted all my nails with one coat of the essence gel nail polish. This was just a single coat and to my surprise I found that it dried fairly quickly (considering that it gave me the gel look.). I then painted all my nails with a second coat, except my ring finger. It is on the ring finger that I painted the Just be Gorgeous.
The more sparkle you want, the more coats you have to put on. This cutex dries really fast so you can layer up the coats without having to spend an entire day on doing nails. As you can see here the shade can get quite intense.
- Just be Gorgeous (Shade: moreish metalic) – R14.95
- Essence the gel nail polish (Shade: 69) – R29.95
This is a very simple look, but looks fab with any outfit!
