Is it just me or is this drastic weather changes between hot and cold making your lips go dry and almost flaky. I keep applying the classic lipice but that only lasts a few minutes and I end up looking like a makeup druggie applying every other minute.
Lip Scrub changed this horrible lip dilemma that I had. Now you can buy a very yummy lip scrub from Lush at about R105 for 25g, BUT sometimes the cash flow is a bit slow and you need to take matters into your own hands. It’s called DIY, kids.
Here is what you will need:
WHAT YOU NEED:
1 x tablespoon of fine salt
1,5 x tablespoons of sugar
1 x tablespoon of olive oil
1 x tablespon of vaseline
Your favorite lip balm
An empty container
WHAT TO DO:
Mix the olive oil, vaseline and your favorite lip balm in a small bowl until it is a nice even creamy texture. The lip balm is not really necessary since we have the moisture from the olive oil and the vaseline but it does make it look prettier and it smells great too.
Add the salt then the sugar. Why sugar? – believe it or not salt is much finer than most sugars and will give you a better exfoliation. Adding both just makes it so much more effective in my eyes.
Once the texture is rich and grainy you are done! Now just carefully put it in the empty container so you can use it again when needed. You can always add more of any ingredient to make it however you prefer it!
